The Plumer/Drake Cemetery (Meredith tax map coordinates R33-5) is located on the west side of Saddle Hill Road approximately 200' north of the Meredith-Sanbornton Town line. This cemetery was the original Meeting House burying ground for the old Pine Hill Church which later removed to north Sanbornton, N.H. The cemetery is 53' square in size, and is enclosed by granite, fieldstone walls with some cut stone built into the front wall. One wall has an entrance flanked by 2 stone posts and a double chain. There are some inscribed gravestones and some plain, unmarked fieldstone grave markers within this cemetery. There are 12 known, marked burials and at least 2 unmarked graves in this cemetery. According to "Annals & Genealogies of Meredith" by Mary Neal Hannaford, Mr. Moses Merrill, a Rev. War Vet., is buried in the Plumer/Drake cemetery with only a fieldstone marker to indicate his grave.
