The Higgins Family Cemetery (Meredith tax map coordinates R31-5) is located off Chemung Road at it's junction with Hermit Woods Road near the south end of Robinson Pond. The cemetery is located approximately 100 yards from Chemung Road and is about that same distance across the brook to Hermit Woods Road. This 1-grave cemetery is 14' x 14' in size. One of the cemetery's sides is part of a stonewall. There is a small entrance gap in one of the walls. A cut granite post laid in the stonewall is this cemetery's only grave marker. The inscription on this post reads: "George Richardson Higgins November 19, 1926-June 22, 1975". (This information was obtained from the Town of Meredith.) As of 9-30-2017, there are 2 graves. The second is that of Frances Richardson Higgins Mar 4, 1899-Jan 26, 1989.
