Viking Cemetery - In 1905 1 acre of land was donated by Norwegian pioneers Jens & Agathe Helseth to be used as a cemetery. 1905 Captain Jacob Erikson, a sea captain was the first to be buried here. Many members of the Helseth family, as well aw WWI & WWII veterans are buried here. A close up provided by Google Map (2015) will show graves and a tall stone sign saying Viking Cemetery. It is just West of US Hwy 1 on the North side of Indrio Road. 1890 a few families lived there and the community was named \"Viking\".\nViking community was renamed by Mrs. Edwin Binney, wife of the Crayola Crayons where there old home still stands at 6701 Indrio Road. west (2015) (the house is west up Indrio from the Viking Cemetery. There were more members of the Helseth family found in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
