The Smith Cemetery (Meredith tax coordinates U23-2) is located near the junction of Eaton Avenue and Cummings Cove Road. This small cemetery is 12' x 16' in size and has a chain and stone post fence encircling it, erected by Mr. Marston, the present land owner. There are 3 slate gravestones marked and 2 other known, marked burials within this cemetery. (This information was obtained from the Town of Meredith.) As of 9-28-2017, the chain and stone post fence that once encircled this cemetery are gone. Only one partial slate headstone and one slate footstone could be found. They are lying on the ground, partially sunken into the lawn. The property has a new owner.
