Created as a cemetery for the Almshouse poor House dating back to 1850 or earlier. Located directly between the Building and the Creek. About 125 to 150 graves were relocated to Dauphin County Cemetery in 1915 for the expansion of the Cameroon Causeway from an area about 35X200 feet on the western edge. However recent dowsing in 2022 have discovered burials all over the grounds under the parking lots to the Spring Creek rehab Center. at least 70 rolls North to South x 50 to 60 per roll East to West. The may be up to 3000 burials under the parking lot, Trail and left of trail 10'. Recent findings of 276 Death certificates and newspaper obituaries date from 1874 to 1925. The hits are from dowsing to help determine the size of the original cemetery close to 250 x 350 feet.
