This is my family cemetery. Please, please change the name to Queen's Ridge Cemetery, Dunlow, Wayne County, West Virginia. Also, the road on which it is located is Queen's Ridge Road, NOT Queen Cemetery Road. The Queen's Ridge Cemetery is located in Wayne, NOT Lincoln Co., WV The Queen's Ridge Cemetery is a very old, large (over 300 grave-sites) Cemetery, land having been set aside for it by my Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandfather, Absalom Queen. One can reach Queen's Ridge Cemetery from Ranger, Lincoln Co., WV, but there is no way you would ever find this Cemetery by looking for it at Ranger, Lincoln Co., WV. At one time there was a small cemetery known as Queen Cemetery located in Wayne Co., WV, near, but NOT AT Ranger, Lincoln Co., WV; however, it was moved due to construction of the East Lynn Dam. Those grave-sites were re-interred at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, Wayne County, WV. It is of utmost importance that these corrections be made as coal mining and oil and gas-drilling may be an increasing threat to our mountain cemeteries. We are currently working with a Cemetery Preservation Group to register our cemeteries with the State Historic Preservation Office which will make locations of our cemeteries known when industrial operations, highways, or building projects are being planned in the areas of the cemeteries.
