This cemetery is located on the banks of the Tchefuncte River and has water on 3 sides. It is a beautiful place to be laid to rest. Some graves and tombs in this cemetery were damaged during Hurricane Isaac in 2012. There were 3 tombs that had been moved from their place by tidal surge. Condition: Large cemetery that is well-kept. Copied: 29 October 1975 by Doris Martin Holden. Many of the graves and vaults are unmarked. Henry Baham, Jr., who was born in 1919, began helping his father take care of the cemetery at age 14; he identified many of the graves and plots that are unmarked. Mr. Baham told me some of the larger plots had as many as 25 family members buried in them.
