In 1876, brothers Nels and Gens Torsen donated this land for the cemetery. Noting the early dates on some of the markers says that that his land had been used as the Torsen family burial grounds prior to being donated to the church. This cemetery location is actually made up of two cemeteries together, currently known as Trinity Lutheran cemetery and as Faith Lutheran Cemetery. These two were previously known as West and East Lutheran Cemeteries respectively. The dividing line between Trinity Lutheran and Faith Lutheran is an east-west line that passes through the Veterans Memorial Monument. A stand built to hold records and locations of all interred here is located near the entrance and includes a map mounted in the cover.
