Ames Chapel Cemetery, French Lick Township, Orange County, IN, located 2 1/2 miles east of West Baden Springs on State Road 150. A Methodist Church was organized here in 1870 by the union of two pioneer Methodist groups, Smith and Nelson Chapels. Moses Ham donated 3 acres of land for church and cemetery. Burials prior to 1880 have been moved from old burying grounds. From the U. S. Post Office in Paoli, Indiana, take East Campbell Street West 1 block to NW 1st Street .07 miles. Turn Left on Nw 1st Street and go South .07 miles to Main Street. Turn left on Main Street (turns into In Hgwy 150) and continue for 5.54 miles West. Cemetery and Church are on the right.
